Do you have a lot of guests coming from out of town? Its a nice welcoming touch to have a gift basket (or bag) waiting for them in their hotel room!

Include a welcome note (on this wonderful vintage Seattle postcard, this letterpress map of Seattle, or this hanging tag?) and neat things from the area of your wedding.

For Instance:

Include maps of the city (most local city tourism offices put out free maps), a list of restaurants, interesting sites, places to shop, and twenty-four-hour drugstores.

Also include fun local things to do, your wedding weekend itinerary, and maybe even a local food speciality (maybe a pound of Starbucks coffee beans for a Seattle wedding).

Toss in a disposable camera, a bottle of water, plus any other little extras you like! You're done!

But don't forget:

Include some important phone numbers for the out of town guests in case they have any questions, need transportation, or heaven forbid, get lost!

When all is assembled, ask the hotel to put these baskets in each guest room prior to check in - Talk about a warm welcome!
