Just in time to wrap those presents... part two!

Grey says "This year, I’m really into reusing old sweaters that are either lying in my closet collecting dust, or ready for the take at my local thrift store. Here’s a GREAT way to use those sweaters to wrap a bottle of wine, that turns one gift into two."
Intrigued? Ohh! Here comes the eye candy!

Wouldn't these make the most perfect hostess gifts?? Or holiday party favors?? Or Christmas gifts??

With that said, I want to know what YOU (our incredible readers) want to read about!

Hidden Proposal Photographer

Ahhh the long awaited post! Sorry it took so long guys, my life has been quite hectic since my boyfriend returned from Afghanistan!
In a recent survey, we polled you, our lovely readers, and found out that the majority of you either had someone capture your engagement or already know that is something you want, and some of you had never even considered the idea of capturing that special moment on film (well digital cameras these days). Surprise surpise, you love the idea just as much we do. Engagement and wedding photographs are obvious ways to chronicle the memories, but the event that gets the ball rolling is rarely recorded except for in our heads. Hiring a hidden proposal photographer or recruiting the help of a friend is the perfect solution. Girls, start dropping hints to your boyfriends because this is an idea you won't want him to forget!

Special thanks to (counter clockwise starting at top left) Mindy, Jordan, Laurie Beth, and Roe for the photos...and of course, congratulations!

If you still aren't convinved that capturing your engagement on film is that important, here is a series of pictures that are sure to make your heart melt.
Check out what photographer Shannen Natasha caught on film....

Want to watch a video too?? Great!

Don't you fret if you don't have a photographic-ly inclined friend, LMV can recommend several incredible photographers (at all price points), just for this special occasion! Write us a quick email and we will help you on your merry propsal way!

Visit http://www.katepricephotography.com/ for more photos of Mindy's proposal!
And Laurie Beth has a lovely blog too!

Bridal shower

For the 3rd invitation, I love it because it inspires me to take the "Bridal Shower" theme literally!
(well, I guess not completely literally, I'm not talking about your gyms group showers here)

As an added "coolness" bonus, this Bridal Shower theme ties well into the lovely Seattle weather!
And we all know just how much I love Seattle.

Have an umbrella hanging from the ceiling with paper rain drops (glued to fishing line)!
Umbrella and rainboot sugar cookies? Have you seen anything cuter?!

Decorate in cool blues, greys, and yellows!

As for favors - flower seed packets! "April showers bring May flowers!"

Or some potted flowers for guests to take home!

Domestic Diva Bridal Shower

I have a love affair with aprons.
They make me feel more domestic, a bit sexy, and ready to take on any recipe! So when I saw the domestic diva invite from Monday, my head started swirling with the idea of having a vintage Apron Bridal Shower!
Let me elaborate-
Write on the invitation that in leu of purchasing items off the brides registry (which is perfect for the bride who will have more than one shower), guests are asked to bring an apron and one of their favorite recipes for the bride to be. I can just see the fun types of aprons now! I bet you would get some lovely homemade aprons from some of the older guests (ie Grandma), maybe some racy aprons from your best friends and that crazy Aunt of yours, some very cute and girly aprons, as well as some hand-me-down aprons that perhaps someone has used for years in their kitchen! Have your lovely maid of honor put all the recipes right into a cookbook - you could go home with an apron and new recipe for every day of the week! Nothing like a good apron to make you want to don your pearls and vacuum in your heels!

Here are some of my favorite aprons right now-

Boojiboo on Etsy
Sigh, Anthropology aprons
Jessie Stelle Vintage Aprons

Dare I suggest pearls with the half apron? Oh yes!

And, a whole lot of apron patterns!

Classy bridal luncheon

The bridal shower theme today expands on yesterdays fancy table themed invitation. If you just loved the invite, this post should at least give you a jump start towards planning the shower!

I was thinking blush romantic pinks and lots of sophistication!

How do you feel about pink candy buffets? The chandeliers fit perfectly with the theme!

What other ideas would you include in this bridal shower??

Custom Chuck Taylors

Did you know you can custom design your own Chuck Taylors? You can pick the colors, style, and even include text [like your wedding date, hint hint]. I think they would make fun gifts for your groomsmen, or even your hubby!
